Doctor of Integrative Parent Education (DIPE)

The Pinnacle Credential for Parent Coaches, Educators & Family Support Professionals

Offered Exclusively by Modern Parenthood Institute

Founding Doctoral Cohort • Begins June 30, 2026
16-Month Hybrid Program • Graduation: October 15–16, 2027

A New Evolution in Parent Education Begins Now

Every dedicated parent-support professional reaches a point where the work begins to feel deeper than the tools they’ve learned. A moment when your role becomes a calling — and you sense it’s time to grow into something more.

For years, MPI graduates have asked:

“What’s next?”
“How do I go deeper?”
“What is the highest level in this field?”

This is the answer.

Introducing the Doctor of Integrative Parent Education (DIPE) — a premier doctoral-level credential for parent coaches, educators, and family support professionals ready to lead with depth, integrity, and purpose.

This program is not about doing more.
It’s about becoming more.

Your next evolution begins here.

Step Into the Role Families Wish Existed

Imagine this:

A parent sits at the edge of their child's bed long after the house has gone quiet — replaying the day, the tantrums, the sibling squabbles, the overwhelm, the guilt that creeps in when they wonder if they handled things “right.”

They’ve read the books, followed the accounts, saved the tips, and tried the scripts.
But when big feelings hit or behaviors escalate, they still feel unsure.

Their partner wants to help, but both find themselves trading exhaustion instead of clarity.
The love is strong… but the guidance is scattered.

Now imagine you stepping into that family’s world — not as a fixer, not as a therapist, not as someone who diagnoses — but as a steady, integrative educator who helps them make sense of their dynamics, reconnect to their values, and understand what their child’s behavior is communicating beneath the surface.

A leader who can translate research into real-life tools.
A mentor who can see the whole family system with compassion.
A guide who helps parents find their confidence, presence, and rhythm again.

This is the role parenthood professionals have been asking for — a level of mastery that goes beyond tips and techniques into something deeper, clearer, and truly transformative.

A Holistic Approach for Modern Practitioners

Families today aren’t looking for someone to tell them what they’re doing wrong. They want someone who can help them understand why things feel the way they do and how to move forward with confidence and connection.

Most parenthood professionals already support families beautifully…
but so many of them tell us:

“I can see so much more going on beneath the surface — I just wish I had the depth to truly guide them.”

The DIPE was created for those professionals.
Those who can sense the deeper layers and want:

  • a stronger integrative foundation

  • more confidence interpreting family patterns

  • a clearer understanding of child development and emotional dynamics

  • a voice and framework that sets them apart

  • leadership skills to mentor and influence others

  • the ability to support families in a non-clinical but deeply impactful way

Through this doctorate, your work becomes more than sessions or strategies.
It becomes legacy-level contribution — the kind that stays with families long after your time together.

Why the Doctor of Integrative Parent Education Exists

The Impact You’ll Make

Picture the transformation:

A family learns to read their child’s cues with understanding instead of frustration.
Parents shift from reacting to responding.
Siblings begin to thrive with clearer structure and more connection.
Parents start trusting themselves again.

And you — the educated, grounded, integrative professional — become the person who brought them back to clarity, presence, and empowerment.

This is the kind of work DIPE graduates do.
Not clinical. Not corrective.
But deeply supportive, educational, and human.

You become the guide families didn’t even know existed — someone who helps them become more connected, conscious, and confident.

This isn’t just professional growth.
It’s profound.
It’s needed.
And it’s the highest expression of parent education.

Advancing Excellence in Integrative Parent Education and Family Systems Understanding

The Problem We're Solving Together

Families today are navigating more overwhelm, mixed messages, and emotional pressure than ever before. They want to parent with confidence and connection, yet often lack access to consistent, grounded, judgment-free guidance.

  • 70% of parents report feeling unsure how to respond to challenging behaviors in real-time moments.

  • Parents encounter 8–10 conflicting sources of advice in the first months of parenthood alone.

  • More than half of families say they struggle to find reliable, non-judgmental support.

  • Many helping professionals receive minimal training in emotional regulation, family dynamics, or conscious communication.

  • Families with integrative education and support report higher confidence, calmer routines, and stronger connection at home.

The Doctor of Integrative Parent Education was created to fill this gap—training professionals who can guide families with clarity, depth, and compassionate, evidence-informed support..

Scope of Practice: Understanding Your Role as a Doctor of Integrative Parent Education

Graduates of the DIPE program serve as advanced parent educators, integrative guides, and leaders within the family support field. Your role is rooted in education, insight, reflective guidance, and compassionate, non-clinical support.

Below is a clear overview of what DIPE professionals can and cannot do to maintain both integrity and proper boundaries in their work.

What Doctor of Integrative Parent Education Graduates CAN Do

As a DIPE professional, you are qualified to:

✓ Provide evidence-informed education

Offer research-aligned information on child development, emotional intelligence, family dynamics, behavior foundations, communication skills, and parent-child connection.

✓ Guide parents in understanding behaviors & patterns

Help families interpret their child’s cues, emotions, developmental stages, and needs from an integrative, educational perspective.

✓ Support parents with practical, non-clinical strategies

Teach tools for routines, communication, structure, co-regulation, boundaries, emotional safety, and conscious parenting practices.

✓ Facilitate reflective conversations

Help parents identify values, goals, strengths, stressors, and family patterns through non-clinical dialogue and reflective inquiry.

✓ Create personalized education-based plans

Develop integrative parenting plans, routines, or strategies tailored to family goals and philosophies—within an educational scope.

✓ Offer mentorship and leadership

Guide students, new parent-support professionals, and peers using your advanced understanding of family dynamics.

✓ Present workshops, classes, and educational resources

Deliver parent education to groups, organizations, schools, agencies, and community programs.

✓ Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals

Communicate effectively with educators, birth workers, pediatric support providers, and family service teams—within clearly defined boundaries.

✓ Recognize when outside referral is needed

Know how to identify red flags signaling a need for clinical, therapeutic, or medical evaluation—and refer appropriately.

✓ Serve as a thought leader

Develop frameworks, curriculum, guides, books, and programs that elevate the parent-education field.

What DIPE Graduates DO NOT Do

To stay aligned with non-clinical scope of practice, DIPE professionals do not:

✗ Diagnose or treat medical, behavioral, or psychological conditions

This includes autism, ADHD, sensory processing, mood disorders, trauma, sleep disorders, or attachment disorders.

✗ Provide therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment

This includes clinical psychotherapy, counseling sessions, or trauma treatment.

✗ Conduct clinical assessments or evaluations

No developmental evaluations, psychological assessments, or medical screenings.

✗ Interpret medical, diagnostic, or clinical reports

This includes reading lab results, interpreting medical testing, or giving opinions on diagnoses.

✗ Contradict advice from licensed clinicians

You may educate, clarify, and support—but not override medical or therapeutic recommendations.

✗ Provide medical, therapeutic, or legal advice

No prescribing, treating, diagnosing, or advising on medications, clinical treatment plans, or legal issues.

✗ Perform crisis intervention or emergency services

DIPE professionals do not act as crisis clinicians or mandated therapeutic responders.

✗ Claim equivalency to licensed mental health or medical providers

The DIPE credential is educational, not clinical.

By upholding this scope of practice, DIPE graduates provide impactful, integrative support while respecting professional boundaries—and ensure families are connected to licensed clinical or medical providers whenever their needs extend beyond educational guidance.

Why This Matters

A clear scope of practice protects:

  • You

  • Your clients

  • Your professional integrity

  • The reputation of the DIPE credential

  • The families you serve

It ensures you provide powerful, meaningful, deeply supportive education while honoring the roles and responsibilities of licensed clinicians and healthcare providers.

DIPE graduates thrive because they know:

"My work is impactful — and impactful does not mean clinical."

Enrollment is exclusively open to graduates who have successfully completed both of the following Modern Parenthood Institute certifications:

  • The Parent Coach Certification Program

  • The Sleep Practitioner Certification Program

Both certifications are required. Outside credentials are not accepted.

Why are both MPI certifications required?

The DIPE curriculum builds directly on MPI’s proprietary parent-coaching and sleep foundations. These programs establish the shared language, developmental understanding, and educational framework needed for doctoral-level study.

When does the program begin and end?

  • Start Date: June 30, 2026

  • Graduation Ceremony: October 15–16, 2027
(Held in Massachusetts with full academic regalia)

How is the program structured?

The DIPE combines:

Is this a go-at-your-own-pace program?

Partially.

  • Modules are self-paced

  • Live virtual lectures follow a cohort schedule

  • Capstone deadlines are structured to ensure meaningful progress

This hybrid model offers both flexibility and accountability.

What is the time commitment?

Most students dedicate 3–5 hours per week to coursework, reading, and reflection. Certain months—particularly during capstone development—may require slightly more time.

What required books do I need to purchase?

Students must purchase the four required texts:

  • Rest, Play, Grow — Deborah MacNamara

  • The Science of Parenting — Margot Sunderland

  • The Power of Showing Up — Daniel J. Siegel & Tina Payne Bryson

  • Nonviolent Communication — Marshall Rosenberg

These are referenced throughout the program.

What is the doctoral capstone project?

Your capstone is your signature contribution to the field. Examples include:

Yes — the graduation ceremony is held in person in Massachusetts. This is the only in-person requirement, and it marks your official conferral of the diploma.

How much does the program cost?

Tuition is $13,000, with interest-free payment plans available. Students may choose between paying in full or enrolling with a monthly payment option.

Are tuition payments refundable?

How can I use my earned doctoral title and DIPE credential?

Graduates of the Doctor of Integrative Parent Education may use the title “Doctor” or the credential “DIPE” in professional, academic, and educational settings.
For example:
Dr. [Your Name], DIPE — or — [Your Name], Doctor of Integrative Parent Education.

Because this is a non-clinical educational doctorate, graduates must avoid implying any medical, psychological, or therapeutic scope. You may use your title in parent education, coaching, teaching, publishing, research, professional speaking, and other non-clinical contexts.

Does the DIPE include membership in a professional association?

Yes. DIPE graduates are eligible for membership in the International Holistic Therapy & Education Association (IHTEA)—a respected global network of holistic education professionals.

Can I enroll if I haven’t finished one of the prerequisite programs yet?
